Selenium Sulfide

Selenium sulfide is an antifungal and antiseborrheic topical agent. It works by slowing the growth of yeast that causes infection and by reducing the turnover of skin cells on the scalp, effectively relieving itching, flaking, and redness.

Dosage by Body Weight

For topical/external use only. Do not ingest. Avoid contact with eyes and damaged skin. For dandruff/seborrhea: Apply to wet scalp, massage, leave on for 2 to 3 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Usually applied twice weekly for 2 weeks, then as needed. For tinea versicolor: Apply to affected skin areas, lather with a small amount of water, leave on skin for 10 minutes, and rinse thoroughly. Repeat daily for 7 days.
